Report changes are printing only for sa, but not for other users

Hi All,

This is an urgent live issue.

Recently we have made few changes to a Report using Report writer in GP10.0.

And when we (logged in as 'sa') printed, it was working fine for us. But the users reported that they couldn't see any changes.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

I have the same question (0)

    Did you enable the modified report in tools/setup/system/alternate....

    Hi Chuz,

    Thank you for your reply.

    Yes, I have tried this option. I have also exported the report as package and imported it back. And then saved the Alternate/Modified Form and Reports.

    And then we got to know that, it was working in our system for all the users (including sa and other users). But in a users system, the changes couldn't be seen(even with sa login).

    Could you please advise.

    When you to User Security Setup see what Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports ID is set for 'sa'. Then select another user and make sure that user is set to use the same ID.

    Tools->Setup->System->User Security

    Hi Richard,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I've checked and both of us are having same ID.

    And moreover when the user has logged in using my system, the printed reports were showing changes. But when I logged in their system (using sa account) the changes weren't showing.

    Could you please advise.

    Then check your launch file. Sounds like they are pointing to different REPORTS.DIC files.

    Tools->Setup->System->Edit Launch File

    Hi Richard,

    Thanks for you prompt response.

    Yes, it seems to be they are having their REPORTS.DIC in a different location. And mine is in a different location.

    Could you please advice a fix for this.

    Create a share on your server and copy your REPORTS.DIC into that folder. Then go to Setup->System->Edit Launch File on each computer and point to the shared copy. Never make modifications to reports while others are in GP to the shared copied. You may corrupt the file. It is best to have only one computer where you make modifications. When done copy to the shared folder.
