Command line parameter EnterpriseportalSetup is invalid

While installing the sharepoint in Ax 2009 i found this error:

The command line parameter /Extract: "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\1\\EnterpriseportalSetup" is invalid.Check the spelling and start Microsoft dynamics Ax Again.

    Hi sadhana, please put the description to the body of the message; neither the header or tags are the correct place. Please look at how I've fixed it.

    Now please tell us what exactly you're doing when you got the error.

    Hi,

    I am trying to install the Enterprise portal in ax 2009 ,so in order to  install that  i need to install windows sharepoint services 3.0 sp1 ... when i am trying to do this i am getting the above error.

    Microsoft Dynamics AX Error

    ---------------------------

    "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\1\\EnterprisePortalSetup" is

    invalid. Check the spelling and start Microsoft Dynamics AX again.

    I understood that much already. But how are you installing Sharepoint? Please describe the steps you did and where exactly is failed. Also, you could find additional information in log files.

    It's obvious you're not installing SharePoint alone, because it wouldn't give you a "Dynamics AX Error".

    Your parameter is wrong. The field should contain a path to SharePoint installer (read the text above that explains it). You put the path to AX client, which doesn't make any sense. AX client and SharePoint installer are two completely different applications.

    Please download SharePoint installation files and change the parameter to point to the downloaded SharePoint installer (Setup.exe).
