Dimension-wise Trial Balance

Hi,

Our customer is using Purpose dimension to differentiate transaction for different business units within a Company. They require Dimension-wise trial balance. I tried to run the Trial balance report available at General Ledger -> Reports -> Transactions -> Periodic -> Trial balance and added Ledger transactions table and added criteria but still the report is not showing correct trial balance.

I will be grateful if any one of you could help me in this regard as soon as possible.

    Hi Faisal,

    I have a requirement to generate branch wise trial balance in AX 2009. I followed the steps given by you but got the this 'Report is empty, Branchwise Trial balance - Report'.

    Can you please help.

    Hi Haroon,

    I am using this report but not by purpose as I don't have this dimension in my company. I am running this report to get the trial balance by branches by following the following steps.

    Go to General Ledger > Reports > Transactions > Periodic > Financial Statement if you have setup your financial statement correctly.

    Select the following parameters;

    Financial Statement = Trial Balance

    On Columns tab;

    1. select the 'January' in Date Interval code column for all rows.

    2. click Select button while standing on the last row of the grid.

    3. Choose 'Branch' field in Field column.

    4. Choose the value for Criteria column.

    On Setup Tab;

    Make sure only the following check boxes are selected;

    1. Skip zero

    2. Transaction line

    3. Total line

    This will show you the trial balance according to the dimension selected.
