CIJ Lead Scoring Contacts vs. Leads

Hi. We market to both leads and contacts. I would appreciate an explaination on how scoring is working today in CIJ when you do so. I have tested form visit and wondering a few things.

I have a contact (created from lead qualified) with 2 leads associated. The contact was sent a CIJ email and it registered 2 form visits in contacts insights. However, each lead shows a single score to add up the the right total?

Is this normal or how does a lead get an associated contacts score?

If we change the scoring, it seems to be like a dynamic view - it updates to the recognized data, is that correct we can change and it will retro back previous interactions?

Does the scoring model work for a contact without an associated lead? I assume not bc no lead and right now only "target audience" is lead available. Is this in the roadmap? Will we have to create a Lead target audience scoring model and then a contact target audience if so?

Observations:
It looks, in design you can only select leads by default as target audience (it is grayed out), BUT documentation says scores are included for leads and contacts.  Do they mean only if there is a lead relationship?

Last, in the view the Entity Target column says Contacts (even though we can only select lead for target audience).

Any help in clarifying today and possibly the future is helpful as we gather info.

    • When a Contact (linked to multiple Leads) submits a form, each Lead gets scored  this is normal and by design.
    • Scores recalculate automatically if you update the scoring model, it's retroactive.
    • Scoring only works for Leads today — even though interactions are tracked at the Contact level, Contacts don’t get scored unless linked to a Lead.
    • The target audience is limited to Leads (Contacts are greyed out).
    • Contact-level scoring is not supported yet but may come in the future.

Thank you @Hamza H.  Very clear. So only contact interactions scores get added to each lead record relationship. Interactions on each lead individually don't get added to the other lead(s).

This I believe was my issue now looking closer at lead score on each lead.

    Thanks.
