How to override the dialog/text on a method button.

Hi,

I have used the command button 'Delete Record' and it works fine. But i want to change the text on the dialog.

- Which method should i override on the command button.

- What should i write to override the text.

    I do not think you can actually override this standard behavior, but you can take a look at this  workaround (however, you have to be careful with this since it involves ignoring the standard mechanism of validating important items).

    You can override your validateDelete on the form's datasource you are interested in, and comment out the ret = super() and replace it with your own Box::confirm('Your text..."). However, I must insist do this if only you have a real solid request.

    Another way, clean and without major implications(except the fact that you are changing this in the entire system) is to change the standard label. You can find it in the c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Client\Bin\AxSysEn-Us.ktd file. Just replace it there and it will work.

    Sounds very complicated, i thought it was possible to just override a method and replace the dialog text. Anyway thanks, but hopefully there is another way.
