Certain User unable to send invoices via Print Managment

Hey!

I have a user that which is unable to send copies of invoices (sales orders) via Print Management. This user has the exact same security settings as other users that is able to send the exact same invoices via print management.

Any ideas how I can get print management working for this user?

    Hi Melissa,

    You can take the next steps and verify if you can get it working for this user:

    - Does this user have the system user role assigned and there is no additional restriction on this organization? Is the legal entity assigned in this role?

    - Clear usage data.

    - Delete AUC files (%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local)

    Is the legal entity assigned in this role? YES,

    I will try the other two options, after the user takes notes of their personalisations.

    Hi Melissa,

    Sometime, clearing the usage data resolved issues related to any specific user. I have got some user specific issues resolved in past by clearing their usage data.

    Deleted User Usage Data & AUC files, and the users is still not able to send via print management.

    Hey Andre & Baber,

    I noticed the "User Relations" has not been set up for this user. Would this impact the ability to send via print management?

    If so, I attempted to set up the user with a new "user relations" however was not able to find their details under "person" field.

    Hi Melissa,

    I couldn't think of any options under Print management which checks for user relations for any user while using print destination settings. Can you please let me know what error that user is getting while trying to send invoices using print management or just nothing happens?

    Absolutely nothing happens at all, which is more frustrating as at least an error log will point me in a general direction.

    ok, then only debugging the code would be able to tell us what is exactly happening. One more thing you can check if the invoice attachment size is not exceeding the size defined in the email parameters form under System administration. I can't remember if the systems throws any message if the attachment size increases. But for verification, you can check with the invoices with fewer lines.

    Let me know how it goes, otherwise the last resort would be to debug the code.

    Hi Melissa,

    I do agree with the approach proposed by Baber. You can also try to grant temporary the system administrator role to this user to really exclude the option if it is related to security.

    I tried changing the users settings to system admin, but it didn't work.

    Then I realised perhaps its a folder access issue.

    Turns out this user didn't have access to the folder where AX saves a copy of the emailed document.

    Now working fine.
