Hello,

When I want to access the financial tag rules I receive the following error.

Hi,

In order to use financial tag rules you need to create financial tags first.

Do you have any tags created?

Yes I have. There is a different error message when no fin. tags exist in a legal entity.

· Ensure you're on a D365 Finance version that supports Financial Tag Rules (preview).
· This feature was added in version 10.0.38 (or later).

Hi Adis,

Which exact version of Dynamics 365 F&O are you running? I just tried it in my environment 10.0.43 (10.0.2177.84) and can open the rules page without the error you get. You can try to update to a higher version that can include some fixes.

Do you have customizations in your environment? Do hou have more error details in case you open the action center?

You are running on a slightly higher version.

I ll try to update the version, although I have never done it.

Just to add. Yes we do have customizations, however, as this is a new feature, I couldnt imagine that any customizations create this error.

I checked the available updates, however, I cant see anything related to the financial tags.

I ll check the setup for financial tags.

Hi,

It does work in Contoso. So it seems a customization is causing the issue.

Our developer will look deeply into it next week.

Hi Adis,

The error can be caused by a customization. E.g. I have seen a similar error before when a data entity was duplicated and the label + public names were not changes to become unique in the environment.

Usually, you will then get the error while opening some other menu items as well.

Updating to version 10.0.38 or a higher version should resolve the problem.
