    Hi Steve,

Thank you for the reply, and sorry for replying back so late. This particular button was created by someone else not me. But I am pretty sure they have created a button using ribbon workbench but not sure of the lookupobject() method used in command. can you please help me or provide me with a reference article which can help me achieving this from  scratch as I am new to MS Dynamics.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi Smehra33,

Do you create the button with Ribbon Workbench? If so, do you use the lookupObjects() method to open a lookup view in the command?

If yes, you could pass filters parameter to achieve this. Otherwise, please provide more detail.

Thank You Steve for the reply, I have already filtered the look up field, but here the scenario is different. They have created a button on the sub-grid ribbon and called a Look up view which shows all the SN irrespective of products and I want to filter according to the product selected.

I would appreciate if you could guide me through this

    Regards

    Hi Smehra33,

You can enable the Related Records Filtering setting of your lookup field on your form. Please refer to this blog:

    https://blog.magnetismsolutions.com/blog/dominicjarvis/2017/10/19/how-to-filter-lookups-by-related-records-in-dynamics-365

    Or

You can also use addCustomFilter() method.
