Installing Async Server

Hi all

I'm trying to install retail component in AX 2012 R3 CU8

I don't want to install in the database server.

and the installation asking for "Microsoft SQL Server Shared Management Objects" as prerequisite.

tried to download it from the given download link but it asked to be downloaded in sql server.

is there is a way to install Async Server in non-database Server?

I'm using SQL Server 2014 in the database server

    Hi Wasin,

    "The SQLCMD utility is required to install Async Server. This utility is typically installed with Microsoft SQL Server. If a version of SQL Server is not installed on the computer where you install Async Server, you can download and install Microsoft Command Line Utilities 11 for SQL Server to meet this requirement."

    The Async Server requires a Message Database. You can try to install it directly on another machine that contains the database.
