Journal Entry Print List:

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me? I want to produce and print a list of individual journal entries with the dates posted and JE dates etc. i.e. I don't want to see every line of every JE/batch but a one line per journal confirming what the key journal details. If I goto Journal Entry Inquiry and hit the magnifying glass, I get a list of the seperate JE's - this is the kind of thing I'm looking for.

Thank you in advance for any assistance. James

    James,

You can do this in SQL...you could use the code I have here to create a view with all the detail: victoriayudin.com/.../sql-view-for-all-gl-transactions-in-dynamics-gp.

Then you can can run something like the following query:

    select distinct

    Trx_Status, Trx_Date, Journal_Entry, Reference, Source_Document,

    Originating_TRX_Source, Originating_Master_ID, Originating_Master_Name,

    Originating_Doc_Number, Last_User, User_Who_Posted

    from view_GL_Trx

Thank you Victoria, very kind of you to take the time). However, I am not quite that advanced and don't even know if I have access to the SQL tables behind GP.

Is there a simpler way by any chance? Thanks a lot, James

    James,

The only other thing I can think of is to use the Account Transactions SmartList to narrow down the columns you want, then export the data to Excel and use the 'Remove Duplicates' option.

OK - thank you for your help Victoria. I will have to do that until I learn to use SQL or at least the smartlist builder.

    Thanks, James
