Good Evening,

I have 2 Legal Entities in my AX 2012, I am getting problem of security for both Legal Entities, that I want limit user access to their Legal Entity like If a user A has been hired as Accountant for Legal Entity A then he should not be access to Legal Entity B data including all COA. transactions or report. Please give me solution for my case, As I know their is no any way in Dynamics AX2012 to limit user access for Legal Entities without customization.

Hi Faizan,

Follow the suggestion from Sukrut. However, if you did assign organizations, then a user can still see all chart of accounts as this is global data. Or the person has access; or not. If you want to restrict the chart of accounts, you could do it with a custom security policy.

Also transactions are global data with a certain reference to a 'Ledger'. When using the AX client, there is no issue as transactions are separated then. When you are using e.g. the Excel add-in, users might see transactions from all companies. Also here a security policy can be applied.
