Hello I have a Subscribing to onValidatingWrite and would like to compare a field content to see if it is filled.

I want to compare via an ifelse if a textfield is not filled.
If you want to check whether a text field is empty, trying to compare it with 0 (as the title suggest) is wrong. You need to use an empty string instead:
if (myTable.MyField == '')
Or you can utilize the implicit conversion to boolean by using the field value directly in if (with a negation, in this case).
if (!myTable.MyField)
