Hi Guys,
Good day.
I designed some workflows on Purchase requisition, Proejct budget in AX 2012. Those workflow are composed of elements such as Conditional decision and Approval.
After setting, those workflows previously worked properly. But, unfotunatly it did not work correctly. It just stopped during creating the workitem.
Actually it showed only the "Workflow Activated" and some elements such as Parallel decision was processed but the workitem for approver assignment i was not created with error messag just like 'Workflow stopped (error)".
Can somebody help me on this error? Thanks.
Also worth checking that none of the activated workflows have an error. We had this issue and the reason was that one workflow was activated which has an error. This resulted in all the workflows failing.
Just in case there is still anyone out there, I find that opening the Workflow tutorial form (Tutorial_WorkflowProcessor) and starting the processor manually sometimes resolves the issue (or shows a detailed error message if not.)
I had a similar issue. These were the steps i followed to resolve the issue.
Click Home > Inquiries > Workflow > Workflow history.
From the Filter by status list, select the work flow for the status Stopped (error).
Check on the error message which looked similar to the below.
Stopped (error): X++ Exception: Work item could not be created. Insufficient rights for user xxx.
at SysWorkflowWorkItem-create
SysWorkflowWorkItem-createWorkItems
SysWorkflow-save
SysWorkflowQueue-resume
Hope this helps for people with similar issue.
i have also encountered this problem. Is there any resolution about this case?
Yes, Andre
Hi Maxim,
Did you also try to run a full CIL compile?
Checked languages - all is ok, but error still remains.
In the following cases some unexpected beheviour might occur:
-Not all users are valid and active in AX. (workflow owner, user, approver)
-Not all workflow translations for users with different language settings are supplied ( again: workflow owner, user, approver)
Had you find the reason of the issue?
Eugene and Andre, thank you so much for the assistance. I checked the language and that was not the issue, but through the event logs I was able to find the reason was something is wrong with one of the user ID's. I have Microsoft looking at this for me. Thanks again!
