AR Free text Recurring invoice template form, when adding billing codes to the template, the code description field is not populated, the field is grayed out and not editable to enter description.

When creating the AR free text invoice template and you go to the invoice lines section and select a billing code and tab then the description section is grayed out and you cannot enter anything in. If I run the generate process and go and look at the free text invoice there isn't a description.

    Hello Brian Brown,

    You can make use of the billing code custom fields.

    Once you select a billing code in the FTI lines, a custom field becomes available that allows entering a text provided that you have specified a custom text field with your billing code.

    Those text Information is not printed on the default FTI invoice document but you can make a report modification to get it printed.

    Hi Ludwig,

    I'm still unable to get the description to pull in for the billing code in the invoice lines section of the FTI template. The only way that I can type a description is if I don't select a Billing Code otherwise everything is all grey.

    Hi Brian Brown,

    I got the same result in my machine and believe that this is a current limitation.

    It might be worth posting a suggestion for a product enhancement on MS Connect (https://connect.microsoft.com/)

    The alternative is of course that you modify this yourself.
