Error in chart form part in AX 7

I am getting error 'Unknown source for data method. The method does not exist in data source or table.' while opening AX 7 form.

AX 7 is RTM VM. The form contains only one element which is a 'Chart'. The data source of the form & chart is an aggregate data entity. Form design has 'Hub part chart' pattern applied.

The same aggregate data entity is working fine when linked with another form which is just displaying the fields in a simple grid.

Hi DG,

Please provide more information. Is it a new custom form or an existing? What properties were set with what value and is some coding used?

Can you also share a screenshot of the error? I assume it is a compilation error? Is it referring to the object which is raising the error?

Hi André,

It is a new form. It is not compilation error but coming at run time. Below are more details.

DataSource - TransDataAggregate which is a aggregate data entity. The entity have 6 fields, out of which 2 are measures and 4 dimensions. SumAmount field is one of the measures.

Binding - DataSource: TransDataAggregate

Series - SumAmount; ChartType - Column, DataLabels - None, Use secondary Y-Axis - None, Binding - TransDataAggregate, Value - SumAmount

No other code on the form/method/events. Here is error screenshot.
