Standard view is displayed as table in AOT

Hi,

i've a structural issue in AX 2012 after CU7 update. The thing is, that the View InventValueReportIndirectFinTransaction is displayed in the Tables-Node. I've compared this with other systems where InventValueReportIndirectFinTransaction is a view and used by other views, but in the current system it is a table and exists in sql server.

I've already tried to delete it in sql server but the ax sync does recreate it and then fails because of depending views. So the question is, where is the flag that's mistaken?

Any ideas? (Did not find them in UtilElements or so)

Thanks

Andi

    Hi Andi,

This is very weird. Indeed the synchronization will recreate the table. Can you prepare a new installation and then move the model store into this environment?

Update: We restored the system to previous snapshot and reapplied CU7... but same errors :)

    Good evening,

I have encountered this before. The issue seems to be caused by ID conflicts.

I solved this by removing the records related to the table in the SQLDictionary table, removing any views that refer to the same id of the view in AX in the SQL Dictionary, deleting the views and the table involved on SQL Server and removing all layers on the object involved.

After that I synchronized the data dictionary and the problem was solved.

However, be very carefully with executing this actions, certainly when (production) data is involved. Please try to resolve the problem first in a separate test environment.

    Good luck solving the issue!

And just to be sure: If you do not have experience working with the SQL Dictionary table, please get support from a partner or Microsoft. Making changes to this table can have serious impact to your system. :-)
