How to take complete system backup in Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Hello All.

I am new in Dynamics AX. i want to take complete backup for all 20 companies in Dynamics AX. please suggest me a solution how can i take complete backup using management shell or other ways. let me know all methods to take backup.

Error and command i used on powershell.

Backup-SqlDatabase is included in SqlServer module; it seems that you haven't installed it. How to do it is explained in Install SQL Server PowerShell module.

There are other methods, of course. You can take a backup manually in SSMS, you can use a schedule, you can do it from T-SQL and so on.

To use this module you need to install it first, it can be done using next command:

Install-Module -Name SqlServer

In fact this question belongs on a SQL server forum.

You can take a backup of the SQL server database(s). See the documentation: docs.microsoft.com/.../create-a-full-database-backup-sql-server
