How to remove payment requirement for free event

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

HI

99% of the events we host are free of charge. To acheive that I understand that I need to setup a pass with a cost of $0, but when I try to register I am asked for payment and the registration does not seem to go through. I can either cancel the paiement or imitate the payment (?). In either case the registration does not complete

What am I missing? Do I still have to setup a payment gateway or use sessions or something else?

Thanks in advance

EDIT OK I added sessions and removed the passees and the registration seems to work now but the confirmation email I included in the Journey is not firing. I thought that by leaving the trigger as 0 hour it would fire immediatelay it is not the case. I added a custom confirmation email because the documentation mentions that the default confirmation message cannot be edited or translated.

    Hi hockeymom.

As per My understanding, by putting Trigger timeout as 1 hour and once the event registration is received, trigger (event registration condition) will be fired and confirmation email should be received. Because, Trigger 0 is considered as invalid.

    Hope it helps,

    Best regards,
