Sending a report to the creator of a record on table update

ReportReport

Hi all,
Is it possible to trigger the sending the updated ssrs report to a user whever a field of a table is updated .
I have tried the update event handler of the table but I find that the table is not updated until unless the session is completed .
Hence the report always sends the previous field values in the report and not the updated one.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Reanie,

What report do you want o send to the user? You can use Alert rules to manage this.

Sending report each time a field is update might not be a good design.

Now back to your main issue, what event of the update method are you using ?

    Hi Komi
    Thanks for the reply.
I am already sending alert on the update.
Along with the alert they also want the ssrs report.
I am using the on updated table event handler in my code.
    Thanks.

    Hi Reanie,

What is the purpose of the SSRS report? For what exact process do you need a report when data gets changed?

    Hi Andre,
The report wants to send some updated data in ssrs report  to the user.
This is something I am doing in real time.
Is real time reporting really feasible through ssrs?
I believe if I get the confirmed answer it will help me .

    Hi Reanie,

I thought I replied already after your last post. You can start a report by calling a menu item action anytime via X++ code. Technically, it will be possible but you didn't share the use case and purpose of the report. What do you mean by "unless the session is completed"? Does the user need to have a report when leaving the field or saving the record?
