How to create drop-down in classic client

Hi,

We are needing a simple drop-down with a few static values. I haven't created a drop-down before in NAV and can't figure out where to configure the datasource of a drop down. I was hoping I could just define some static values, but it doesn't appear so.

Hi, 2 options:

1) Create Field with Option type, and fill Option values there (like Document type field)

2) Create Field with reference to another table.

To create drop down with some static or predefined values use the field type as option and then define the optionstring and optioncaption. Example: Check for Type in SalesLine.
