Email Engagement - Recipient Activity "Attachment open count" not work

Tracking of opened e-mail attachments does not work.

What do I have to do so that the opening of an e-mail attachment is displayed in the system? I created the email through Dynamics Web Client using the "Export PDF" and "Send Email" function. But it does not show when the recipient opens the attachment (PDF).

    Hi Daniel,

Did you actually add followed attachment or as a standard attachment?

    please read here : docs.microsoft.com/.../email-engagement

    Hello Rawish,

if I create an email through Dynamics Web Client and attach a file using the "Add Attachment" feature, then it works.

But it doest work if I use the "Export to PDF" and "Email" function. In this case the file is attached by the system itself.

I think thats the normal process to work with document templates and the send mail function.

This wont work at the moment: Attachement open is not count

It seems that the implementaion of mail sending in combination with the "export to pf" function does not implement the correct tracking mechanism.

    In a short way: It's a bug

Maybe a Microsoft employee can say something about it here?

    Hi Daniel,

I just tested it, used "Export PDF" and "Send Email" function, then followed the PDF attachment, as the result, the Attachment Views contains data instead of 0.

The most important step is to follow the attachment.

So please check if you followed the attachment.

    Hi Hao,

thank you for your reply. I have tested you solution but I see that the fowllow option is not available for the attachement. Maybe you know a solution how I can enable the Follow-Option for the attachement.

    Hi Hao,

now I have enabled One Drive for Business in D365. Now the follow button ia available for mails. But it is not available for the attachements.

There is no way to enable Activity Feed for attachments. Do I need to enable Activity Feed Configuration for attachments?

    Greetings Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

We also need to enable sharepoint integration for Email entity.
