Cycle Count by specific item without having to count entire location (Using RF Gun)

Hello,

Confused about the Cycle Counting System in AX. I first want to apologize if this seems like a novice question, I seem to have exhausted all options and searching is of no help.

I am setting up a cycle count for an upcoming sale and want to have my warehouse personnel count these specific items, using the RF Guns. I have a team to complete this and I will be approving all cycle counts via AX's "cycle count work pending review."

The previous way they were doing this was printing out item locations using the "on-hand" function, giving them to workers and then having them "spot cycle count" on the mobile device.

Is there a way to create cycle count work for specific items (all sizes) without having to count an entire location?  I have some locations with 40+ different SKUs and would like to avoid having to effectively double the work for one item count. Ideally I would create work for each item and then the worker could use the "User Directed" function to complete the work.

Were you able to find a resolution for this?

The work report doesn't give the items and so the personnel have to print the items using the on hand function. Would be good to have these items on the report itself.

    Hi Lohit,

The ability to do partial cycle count of a location has been added to both R3 and D365

    Hey Mr.Terry,

The link you provided isn't accessible. I have access to LCS but it says "User does not have permissions". I am able to access everything else in LCS though. Can you give some information on what that link says?

Sorry, is that a better link?

    Hey,

This link works. I forwarded it to the concerned analyst for his approval. Thank you. I am yet to explore what this update does though. So when we give a location, does it break the work by items in that location?
