CRM 2013: decreasing label width

Hi everyone,

I have 4 columns layout in a section on my form and I set 'Field Label Width' property to 50 (minimum value for this field) but it's not enough for me. Customizations contains some fields width display names no greater than 3 characters. If I put this field to a form I got a lot of free space between label and input control. Is there a way to decrease label width?

P.S. I solved this issue by using jQuery, but direct interactions with DOM is not supported by Microsoft.

does it make any difference if you don't show the labels for certain fields?

Unfortunately I don't think there is anyway to do this that isn't an unsupported change.

The only other way I can think of is if you create your own control using silverlight or if you have an IFrame where you can control the width of the columns

The only other advice I can give you is to raise an enhancement request on Microsoft Connect

This would be a great Enhancement request.

    Hi guys.

Thank you for your quick reply.

To Ben: Yes. It's very important to have a label next to the textbox. Silverlight control really help to satisfy this requirements but this way is not suitable for me because silverlight control loading starts after page has loaded. It's not cool for users.

Another option is to make label right align using form customization, that will help to display labels next to control.

There is an issue with CRM 2013 but in 2011 it surely works.

Below request is created for the same on connect Microsoft.

    connect.microsoft.com/.../section-label-right-align

    Thanks,

    Hi Vijay,

I think I provide a bad explanation of my requirements. That's the reason why your answer is not suitable for me.

In a result I would like to get something like this:

I achieve this using jQuery. By default, using minimal width is section options, 'Primary Phone' label cutted.
