    Hi Gac,

How you pick will depend on whether you are using 'Warehouse management' functionality. So, do you have R3, and if so, are you using the 'Warehouse management' module?

Oh, wait. I see your previous question. So you are not using Warehouse management. And therefore I was going to suggest the 'Release sales order picking' form... but you already found it!

I really think this form is the best chance you have to get what you want in standard AX. When you open it, you get the chance to restrict the sales order lines which it will show you. You could, for example, set it to include only those lines which have a ship date of 'today' or earlier.

Once you have the form displaying the list of order lines, the last column ('possible delivery percentage') appears to show the percentage of the lines of that order that can be delivered in full. Therefore, where this field shows 100, it means those lines are on an order that can be delivered in full. If you want to release those lines, you can choose 'Activation' -> 'All orders where entire order can be delivered'. This will populate the 'Activate now' column on all those order lines. Once you are happy, hit 'Release for pick' to create picking lists for those orders.

Note - I don't think I have ever used this form in 'real life'. This is just what I picked up using the three TechNet helps pages, and a quick play in the Contoso demo environment.

    technet.microsoft.com/.../aa551256.aspx

    technet.microsoft.com/.../aa549016.aspx

I suggest you set up some examples in a test environment, and check the functionality and results yourself. The behaviour you see will be affected by other configuration that you have; I'd recommend to test it on your scenarios on your data and configuration.

Ok thanks, but this screen is calculating by Location and not by warehouse ?

Caus' I could have some quantites in my warehouse and not in my location, but that doesn't avoid me to pickt it.

is it possible to configure this ?

    Hi Gac,

As I understand, the form will not show order lines if the inventory does not exist in the dimensions specified on the line.

For example, if the order line has Site and Warehouse on it, and you have some inventory of the item in the warehouse, then the line will appear on the form.

But if the order line has Site, Warehouse and Location on it, and the inventory is in the warehouse but in a different location, the line will not appear on the form.

Is that what you are seeing?

Yes , however AX calculated by warehouse

Exemple for a sale order ABC with juste one line

    Sale Order

ADC with an article y : the line's sale has a quantity of 3 in the emplacement Madrid in Espagne

    Sales Order

    article

    Site

    Warehouse

    Emplacement

    Inventory

ABC y Europe Espagne Barcelone -10
ABC y Europe Espagne Madrid 4

And then AX told me that i can pick it because my quantity in Madrid is enough but it's not a good thing because in Espagne my quantity is negative...so AX shouldn't have propose me to pick it

So i want to AX calculated by warehouse and not by emplacement...

    Do you unterstand my example?*

    thanks :)

    Hi Gac,

On the Item model group for your items, is 'Physical negative inventory' ticked? On the Storage dimension group for your items, which dimensions have 'Active' ticked, and which have 'Physical inventory' ticked?

Just trying to work out how you have negative inventory enabled.

    Ok thanks.

I have an other question, the fields "All orders can be delivered" and "Possible delivery percentage"

This field "Indicates whether all orders with the same item number and inventory dimensions (storage location) can be delivered using the current on-hand inventory."

However it's not interesting, because i want to know which completed orders i can delivered. If this same item number and inventory dimensions is not disponible for an other order, i do not care

I don't be avoid to pick an order that is completed in this screen , and i don't know how to do it

    For an exemple

I have 6 items XXX-RED in my warehouse

And AX "tell" me that no order is ok...because for the same item the quantity is not enough for delivering all the orders...

But if i look i could pick at least one sales , and by preference the older

    Delevery date

Do you how to do it ?

    Thanks :)
