Hi there! Good morning, evening, or afternoon - depending on where you are :) Hope you are well today!
To enable the "Open in Project" button in Dynamics 365 Project Operations Lite Edition, follow these steps: 1. Verify Microsoft Project Integration
Ensure that Microsoft Project is installed and properly configured for integration with Dynamics 365 Project Operations.
Check that the Dynamics 365 Project Operations Add-in for Microsoft Project is installed. You can find instructions on how to install and configure the add-in here.
2. Enable Document Management
Confirm that SharePoint document management is enabled for your environment. This is required for storing and linking Microsoft Project files to Dynamics 365 projects.
You can enable document management by navigating to Settings > Document Management in Dynamics 365.
3. Check Deployment Configuration
Ensure that your Lite Edition deployment is correctly set up. The Lite Edition supports integration with Microsoft Project, but it requires proper configuration in the Power Platform Admin Center. You can find more details here.
4. Assign Permissions
Verify that the user has the necessary permissions to access and use the "Open in Project" functionality. This includes permissions for project management and document management.
5. Test the Button
Open a project in Dynamics 365 Project Operations and test the "Open in Project" button. If it still doesn't appear, try refreshing the environment or clearing the cache.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, it may be worth consulting your partner or Microsoft support. Hope this helps some!
