Unable to invoice sales order due to 'registered' inventory transactions

Hi, I have an issue where, for sales order returns (RMA orders), if the quantity received on the return is less than the quantity expected, we are unable to invoice the return order. For example, if we expect to receive in 6 cases of an item, we create and post the arrival journal for 6 cases and the quantity is registered. Then, if they receive in 4 cases a packing slip is created for 4 cases, 2 cases are left in a 'registered' status, and when we try to invoice the order the quantity will not reduce giving the error 'There are not enough open inventory transactions...items are Purchased, Received, or Registered'. How can I cancel the registration on the remainder so we can invoice shorted returns? Thanks...

    Hi Jeremy,

You have to identify which transaction which make this registration, then go to that transaction

    Press,Invventory Button, and select registration,

the registration form will pop-up, then mark Auto -   Create

The system will create a line in the lower gride click post now, that will un-register the quananties.

Make sure to change the session date when you execute it since it affect on hand reporting.

Thank you, ultimately this was our solution. At first the solution did not work, but it was due to some broken code in the form InventTransRegister (from our RU7 upgrade). After we fixed the code your solution worked. Thanks again.
