Hi Team,

I attempted to configure automatic movement orders (Movement by Template) using Location Directives, but I was not successful. Could you please guide me on the correct setup process?

Thanks in advance

    Good day,

Could you share a little bit more information? Do you get an error message? Is the movement work not created?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards,

    Hi Ivdtang

I am performing a quality inspection in my staging area, but my quality process is not integrated with Advanced Warehouse Management. Based on the quality results, I will update the inventory status. Now, I want the system to automatically generate a movement order to transfer inventory from one location to another.

    Hi,

I think you want to use the movement by template menu to create a movement (Defined rule)

So, if we want a menu item which when used on a license plate will generate a work to move it to blocked location. (If quality fails worker will scan the license plate using this menu item)

    So, for this

1 - Create a menu item which is linked to the location directive via directive code

2 - I scanned a license plate "LP 37" and a work is generated to move it to blocked location.

Similarly, you can also do the same for the movement to different range of locations in case quality order is a pass. Manual decision of inspector to use the right menu.

For that make sure you make a new menu "QC pass" and can use the directive code to guide the system to one location directive which will define the rules for the put away. If you want broader reach, you should keep directive code blank and let location directive query find the right type of item and suggest final put location.

    Good day,

I believe the automatic creation of movement work is not possible; you need to create it manually.

    Best regards,
    Laurens van der Tang

    Hi lvdtang,

I guess, you are right that automatic creation of movement work is not possible, I need to perform manually and also i didn't found more possibility there.

    Thanks for your response

More thanks to @lvdtang and @Sagar Suman
