Activate Price for Cost Category

Posted on by 780

Hello,

I'm new to Production control and Cost management. In my demo environment, I created a new legal entity and working through different scenarios.

Currently, I'm using items with FIFO model. I'm setting up the prerequisites for production routes.

I'm trying to setup prices for my setup and runtime cost categories. I was able to create a pending price in the "Standard Cost" costing type. However, the Activate menu item (button) is grayed out.

  1. Do I need to use Standard Cost item model?
  2. What should I do to enable the Activate menu item (button)?

Thank you.

I found my own answer. Two steps:

    1. Cost management > Predetermined cost policies setup > Costing Versions

    2. Select the costing version row. Action: Edit, Change Block Activation to No

This will enable the "Activation" button after you enter a pending price.
