    Hi Ahmed,

The change of the association account will not affect the posted transaction.

They should close the old account and manually transfer the balance to new account.

    Hello ahmed.kimo,

Hope this is not a frequent practice to change the main account for Bank subledger!

As MATTGUO explained; this change will not reflect in the posted transaction. And in that case, you have to manually pass an adjustment entry.

Appreciate if you kindly explain in which scenario you are changing the main account for bank when some transactions are already posted before in the same account with the bank subledger.

    Best regards,
    Sourav Dam

    Hi Sourav Dam,

As you know mostly new CFO's the may restructuring the COA for that thank banks positions changed in and the's require to change the account numbers based on the new positions .

I was looking for change that can let the customer implement the new COA changes as well as the posted transactions but currently the old bank account number shows another name (Cash-box for example) in the posted transactions

based on the feedback from you and MATTGUO we will force the customer to accept the changes in the posted transactions.

    manual correction is always better.

you don't want multiple issues in reclass if done automatically

    Hello ahmed.kimo,

The answer to you question is no.

If your CFO need new accounts / bank accounts, create 'fresh' ones or post manual corrections as Rahul mentioned.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
