Why are Task flows being deprecated?

I wanted to understand exactly why Task flows are being deprecated, as I'm not sure that the Immersive BPF experience really replaces it's functionalities.

My client was using it as some kind of "Dialog page". For example: A Cancel button in the ribbon of an entity record that already had a BPF. After clicking it would appear on the right and then the user would set the reason of cancelling (which was an option set so it was really easy to set the field) which gave the person a great user experience and was easy to do.

I'm not sure what to replace it with to match our current process appearance other than a custom HTML dialog that feels harder to maintain than a Task flow. So if you have any idea please let me know!

Just a genuine question out of curiosity and maybe some ignorance!
