We need to load records and want to set the sequence number to manual before the load and then back to automatic after the load. Is it possible to do this in code or script? Records will be loaded using SSIS.

Can you tell for which table and if you are using a staging table in between? Are you using DIXF here? Is this your question about Dynamics 365 or AX2012?

what exactly do you mean by SSIS?
You can't import data to D365 cloud system using SSIS.
You can import data into D365 on-premises database using SSIS, and in this case all application logic, including number sequence generation is skipped because you are talking directly to the database.
Normally you should not write anything directly to the database even if you can.
Or do you actually mean you're using DIXF which is built on top of SSIS, but is part of D365 platform?

Actually, you can import data into Dynamics Finance and Operations using SSIS. There is a Dynamics AX Destination connector that does it. We just finished a large data migration using it.
For this issue, we decided to use spreadsheets to update the flag. Probably not the best solution but this is a short-term issue so it works.
