How to enable attachment or attach document in Job registration form.

What (standard AX) security roles does your user account have in AX, are you an administrator? Are you able to use Document attachments on other forms?

Hi Vilmos,

Thanks for the reply. I have checked my user account and i am administrator, also I can be able to use document attachment in other forms.

Kindly help for this Job registration form, how to enable it.

If you check Step 5 here, you would notice that you need to add the table for which you would like to use attachments:

community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-attachments-button-on-a-new-form-dax-2012-r3

You could Right click > Personalize on a field in your form and read the table name in the bottom right corner that you would have to add in order to enable attachments. Alternatively you could switch to the second tab on the Personalizations screen Edit button next to the form, and take a look at what are the Form Datasources, one of them will be the one that you need to add to the Document management setup to have access.

This button has some special juice built in to it.

It can display attachments of a given document type attached to the item or production order.

You set this up in the document groups found under setup in the production control module.

Please take a look at the Time and attendance guide for 2012 on my blog or look closer at document groups.
