Unified Interface Dashboards -- Filter By in Sub-Grid View

When adding subgrid views to a dashboard in the Unified Interface, it appears the 'Filter By' option is greyed out for columns.  I am trying to see if there is a way, either through point-and-click, or customization, to enable filtering to these subgrid views without having to navigate to the full grid.

I have tried adding Read Only Grid and Editable Grid controls to the component, but neither of these options enable the 'Filter By' selection.

I have checked the documentation on using FormXML and tinkered with the FormXML Manager in XrmToolBox, but have so far come up empty handed.  I do not see anything in the FormXML schema that would enable this, however there are a couple items (namely GridUIMode) in the schema that accept strings as values, however the schema does not tell me what values can be used or what the parameter does.

Is this something that could be achieved by a custom control on the dashboard?  Is there another way to allow filtering individually on columns of subgrid views?

Thanks!

    Hi partner,

I'm afraid it is by design and cannot be achieved.

Currently we have to see all records, then we can filter by the column.

    Hi JSchwartz,

Through my test, you can enable ‘filter by’ of the sub-grid when it exists in dashboard if you add editable grid controls and in the latest version.

click 'edit components' to add dd editable grid controls, just like following screenshot.

In my opinion, only when you update to the latest version, the ‘filter by’ can be enabled.

If you are in the older version, maybe you can click ‘see all records’ button to navigate to the view page, then filter by condition in the page.

Thanks for this answer -- I had tried this over the weekend and just could not get it working.  I tried again this morning and sure enough it worked.  Thanks for taking the time to walk through the steps.
