Hi

Once Sales Invoice is created then Data gets removed from Sales Order. Doesn't Navision store Sales Order information in Archived Sales header

How we can track what was in Sales Header table after Sales Invoice is created.

Thanks

    Hello,

Yes and No. Yes, NAV has standard functionality that you Archive documents (i.e. Sales and Purchase) however, you can automate this by turning on the Archive feature on the Sales & Receivable Setup page and checking the box related to Archive Sales...  or you can, while on a Sales Order, click Actions/Archive document.

I like turning on Archive for Sales and Purchase documents for all my customers. This way they can see all the changes to a document before its is shipped/invoiced and closed.

    Thanks,

    Steve

The Archive option is for Orders only, Sales Invoices will be transferred to "Posted Sales Invoice", Go to Sales Orders page and you will find the Sales Order archived.

    Hello,

Yes you can have archived copies of your Sales Orders, but this data isn't very useful for reporting. Also, you won't need to track what was in the Sales Header/Line table(s) after the Sales Order has been invoiced because all of the same information will now be stored in the Sales Invoice Header/Line table(s). More importantly you can find the pertinent information stored in the ledgers such as the customer ledger entry table and the item ledger entry tables.

There is a field on Sales Invoice Header known as "Order No." which contains the linked Sales Order No..

    Hi

It was already ticked. Can anyone send the Screenshot where it should be ticked for maintaining Sales Order Archive History.

    Thanks

When the Sales Order is invoiced in full, it will normally disappear unless achieved by the setup, mentioned by other community members. Please refer here: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh935230(v=nav.90).aspx (How to: Set Up Automatic Archiving of Documents)

As mentioned by Mohana, after setting the "Archive" option, only the new orders posted will be archived.
