    Hi Sami,

When talking about firming, I do think of firming planned production orders created by master planning. What is the exact required process here? Do you want to create a production order from sales orders automatically? If so, what is the moment that the sales order entry is complete in your environment?

    Hello sami,

    I have an additional question:

In regards to this automation, how can you make sure that you don't get a lot of unwanted production orders created?

Isn't there a risk that you create too many if nobody double checks?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I was thinking of auto-release only items with criteria. E.g. all sales sales orders that include "display" items (production pool= display). Otherwise it would be a mess as you said:).

    Hi Andr'e,

"Do you want to create a production order from sales orders automatically? " Yes

We have used autorelease batch jobs before but those people don't work here anymore so I do not know where to do this batch job.

I do not mean to auto release all production orders only some with criteria.

" If so, what is the moment that the sales order entry is complete in your environment?" I think we have 3-5 days entry before items will be reserved to sales orders.

    Hi Sami,

There is no standard batch job for this requirement. I do think that the batch job you are referring to is a customization in your environment. Can you try to find some internal documentation related to the implementation project? That might give some more information.
