Cannot Sort a List by a Column

So now I have a list in RTC which needs to be sorted by Expected Date, a column that is found in the list. However there are no sorting options to sort by expected date. If this was a table then I could easily make a new key for that date but I only find it as a page in Page Designer with nowhere to find or define keys. Should I be looking for a table with this information somewhere? Can I set it to sort automatically in the Page Designer?

    Edward,

You need to add that field in the table as a key, then i will show in the sorting list.

Please refer below to see how to add a key to the table

One other thing you need to have a developer license to make changes to the objects, if you don't have the license then please contact your partner.

It's not a table, its a page. However I assume that it must come from a table somewhere?

I have continued digging. The "Expected Date" is a FlowField with the following Lookup. Is there any way I can make this sortable in my page?

Yes, if you add a field as key it will in appear in that list, but unfortunately you cannot add a flowfield as the key. In later version without a key you can just click and sort on the field.  But i think in 2009 the only way is by adding a field as key.

So I need some direction as to how to add the "Expected Finishing Date" as a regular field in that table instead of it being a Flowfield.

I get this error and my fields look like this.

    Edward,

I am not sure on which table you added that field as flowfield, if you want to make that as normal field you just go to properties of that field and delete fieldclass which is flowfield and it will set to default <Normal>, but remember then it will not have the value. You need to add the code to populate the value based on the table on which you added the field.

Is it a custom table ?

Yes it is a custom table built by an ex-consulting company, sadly.

Expected Date (flowfield) is from a list but is based on Expected Finishing Date (field) from the Service Header table.

If I could somehow add the Expected Finishing Date to the list and have that as a key which would be sortable however removing its flowfield properties might remove the properties that we need, being based on Document Type and Document No.
