Hi Team,

Actually my requirement is need to send files from docuvalue to one api, which am trying in D365 for Fianance and Operation On-Prem environment.

In postman, during receiving the large base64 string, am receiving the error like :500 Internal server error.

Anyone know the reason, Please let me know and do the needful.

I have the same question (0)

Unfortunately all we can say that the service was called but it failed. It's impossible to say why, because we have no information about "one api" and also no details about the error. Code may fail for infinite number of reasons and there is no universal fix.

First of all, check logs provided by "one api", if any. Also, consult documentation to check if what you're passing to the service matches its expectations.

If it doesn't help and you can debug "one api", do it. If "one api" is provided by someone else, you can't debug it and the vendor doesn't provide any logs to identify the cause of the internal server error, you'll need to ask the vendor for help, e.g. by provide logging.

    Thanks Martin,

Actually same content in pdf file if am trying with notepad means, it is working fine.

whenever am trying with the PDF file, then only am facing this issue.

So we need to reduce or compress the base64 string in x++ D365 FO side.

If you know any other way to get the compressed or reduced version of base64 string

    Please let me now.

You surely could zip the text, but if the web service expects a base64 string instead of binary data of a zip file, it wouldn't work. You must focus on what the api supports.

    Thanks Martin,

Actually am trying this with D365 F&O On Prem server.

Here, zipping the files will work in on prem server??

If it is working means, then instead of converting file to base64, do i need to do convert zip file to base64??

or else instead of sending as base64, is there any other way to send the file from d365fo to Api?

Yes, of course, you can use data compression in on-prem servers.

The critical piece of information is what kind of data "one api" expects, but I can't tell you that, because I have no information about "one api".

That APi will act as a mediator, and it will receive the base64 string of the file which we need to send from D365 and send back the same base64 string to mobile application.
