Create Quote E-Mail Draft with Power Automate

Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a flow that is manually triggered when clicking on "Create E-Mail" in the entity Quotes.

I managed to create a random E-Mail with it, but I can't seem to get the TO = contact of the quote, the FROM = User that is starting the flow and REGARDING = the Quote.

The final goal would be to automatically attach the file, that is stored in the document location of the quote...

Can someone help me with this??

Thank you so much in advance!!

    Hi partner,

The ‘Potential Customer’ field of Quote can be either Account or Contact.

So we need to create emails in two situations.

    1. If the â€˜Potential Customer’ is a Contact, then the To field is the Email of Contact.
    2. If the â€˜Potential Customer’ is an Account, then the To field is the Email of the Primary Contact of the Account.

    Thank you for the reply.

Okay I managed to auto fill in the contact and the "Regarding" = Quote. But my field for "FROM" always stays blank. How can I insert the user who starts the flow? UserID doesn't seem to work.

    Also two more questions:

How can I insert a E-Mail template to be used?

And how can I add an attachment to this e-mail?

    Thank you for support!

    Hi,

First you need to get the User ID using List User action. You can use the 'User email' as filter:

Next, you can use this in From attribute:

Thank you so much, this worked!! One step closer!

Now there would be two questions still open:

How can I attach a document that is stored in the document location?

And how can I use a e-mail template on this specific e-mail?

    Thank you!

    Hi partner,

    1. Please refer to this blog to know how to attach a document of sharepoint to the email.

    https://www.itaintboring.com/dynamics-crm/power-automate-flow-creating-an-email-with-attachment-in-cds/

    2. For the template, you can fill in the ID for template used. (Email Templates) field with the Email template ID.

You can open the email template and find its ID in the URL.

Or you can add a step "List rows" of Email template to get its ID.
