Methods to create Business Process Flowchart for Business Central

Hi

Our team asked me to create business process flowchart for Business Central. I know I can use Visio then replicate the process in Visio. But I wonder if anyone has any easier method? My thought is all those process are available in the BC but is it anyway to extract them and create flowchart out of them? Like any app, AL coding, etc?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi

Those are walkthrough. Of course you can create flowchart out of walkthrough. But my questions was how you can create Flowchart faster without converting walkthrough to Flowchart.

In Japan, everyone likes to use Excel to do it.......

Recently Erik posted an interesting solution, hoping to give you some hints.

Can you draw flowcharts with AL in Business Central?

FLowchars are specific to each business, so you have to create them yourself. Once you create one Visio you can copy and reuse parts and rename swimlanes

Thanks Mr Zhu. This is interesting video. But I mainly was looking for the method that app/al can create a flow based on BC process. Something like Performance Profiler but when you go through the process (such as SO) it generate Flowchart.

    Thanks Samantha73

I totally agree with you. I was wondering if more automated way is possible. For example below app provides visual of Transactions in BC. I was wondering if any AL/App is available to provide flowchart based on interaction (like creating PO, etc)

You can have a look at object manager:

    www.idyn.nl/.../

It is a while since i have used it but they used to be good at showing how the code in BC is executed and that can be a good help for creating charts.

I do not promise they solve your issue but to have them give you a demo can be worth the time.
