I set up some Fixed Assets yesterday in GP FA and it is stating that no depreciation is there. Even though I have it selected as straight line for 5 years. Everything I have entered into GP for book is what I need it to be but its not running Depreciation for these assets.
This is usually an issue with the Calander. Few things to check:
Verify that your Calendar ID is the same as the Calendar ID assigned to the book.
Fixed Assets Calendar.
Financial | Setup | Fixed Assets | Calendar.
Click the lookup and select the Calendar ID.
Verify the Naming Convention used.
Calendar Assigned to the Book that is assigned to the Asset.
Financial | Setup | Fixed Assets | Calendar.
Click the lookup for Book and select the Book.
Verify they are the same.
If not the same, this is likely the problem and will need to associate the correct Calendar ID with the Book.
You might need to setup a new book as this field usually gets greyed out once saved.
Next, i would verify that your Fixed Assets Calendar is built from 1901 to 2199 to cover all dates.
If not, build it out and see if the same issue occurs.
I hope this helps!
Thank you!
