Warehouse Receipts Posting issue

We have a user that has been putting posting dates in the Warehouse Receipts and when they go to post and print the posting date reverts back to the current date.

I’ve tried multiple times in the test database to recreate the problem but have so far been unable to do so. Is there settings to make the posting date as current date.

And the same in the sales .

both the environment has the same settings .

Pls suggest the solution.

There is no setup but during the posting it compares the posting date of the source document (Purchase Order) with the warehouse receipt posting header and uses the greater of the two for the posting date.

For ex: On Purchase Order you have posting date of 07/15/16 but on receipt you have changed to 07/01/16 it still uses 07/15/16 to post the order.

Same logic applies for sales order and warehouse shipment.

There might be some customization on Warehouse Receipt Posting, as it is not standard behavior.

Normally it should not be the case; check if there are any triggers on the page that can modify the posting date field on a certain customized logic. Also, what date the user is putting - before or after the current date?

Hi Santosh,

As per your post user is putting posting date before posting the WH receipts ,so kindly check

1) Is there any customization done to change the posting date ?

2) Is user is working on the base on workdate or are they working backdated by changing workdate ?

Hi suresh,

I have changed the posting date in the warehouse receipt and the same date i got in the posted warehouse receipt,but the purchase receipt is generated with the posting date which is there in the PO.

did u mention the same.

warehouse receipt will be created with the modified date

purchase receipt will be generated with the PO date.

Purchase Receipt will use PO Posting Date, warehouse receipt will use greater of two.

Can you please check if some Custom code has been written which is effecting it, if there's something written then please comment it and retry.
