Hi All,

I am getting an error while running a build using a build definition in Ax 2012 . We have setup a build definition with an agent running on the same server. Using the visual studio, when i run the build definition it throws an error on the first 30 seconds of running as below:

The agent and controller is hosted on TFS 2015:

TF215097: An error occurred while initializing a build for build definition \AX2012\EUR_Nightly_Build_EUR_R3_CU13:

Did anyone encounter an error like this and suggest what could be an issue? Screenshot attached for more details. Also is there a way to check at which step it failed in the build.

The error in the screenshot says that you need to upgrade the agent.

It's not clear to me what you mean by "using the visual studio", nevertheless the other error is related to CodeCrib.AX.TFS. Maybe it hasn't been installed in the right way.

Thank you Martin for replying back. It was my bad , i had put a wrong screenshot. Attaching the correct one. I will look at the TFS installation again. I have another question which might sound a bit basic. Is there a way to check on which step this build is failing like for a build pipeline through azure devops, we can actually see the step it failed.

It can't find CodeCrib.AX.TFS. You told us nothing about where you put it, so we can't find the bug in your setup. It fails to load when you want to try use to stop an AOS.

Regarding the information about the failing step, check using if "View log" gives you what you want.

I'm not sure what you mean by "like for a build pipeline through azure devops". Maybe you're using old XAML-based build templates and you're comparing it with the current build framework (so it's a difference in how you define your builds, not between TFS and Azure DevOps).
