how to add description of invoice in Sales order

Dear Experts,

my user are facing a problem that they can't see the description of invoice in customer accounts statement..will you please help me to find out the how they can add description of invoice during sales order to invoice process, through which they can see the description of invoice on customer account statement..

    Hello Yasir,

    In 2012 r3 the setup of the default descriptions is identical to what is illustrated in the previous d365fo screenprints.

    That's the good news.

    The bad news is that you cannot directly influence the description field for sales order invoices. It is only filled through the default description field. If your user wants to see and enter a manual text, then you need to make a modification.

    ludwig you are explaining brilliantly but i m using 2012 r3...and also user want to write the description manually...means he wants to add in his own words..

    ludwig..thanks for your reply...user want to see the description of invoice...i just want to know during sales order to invoice process...where he can add invoice description which will appear on customer account statement

    Hello Yasir,

    I assume that you refer to the description that you can see with the sales order voucher.

    This description field cannot directly be influenced and manually be entered.

    Yet, in the organization admin module we have the default description functionality that you can use for this purpose.
