Invalid viewstate

There are a lot of Bing/google hinst on "Invalid Viewstate" errors

I am experiencing a slightly different problem.  I get this error when I try to add either a user ot group to the EP site settings/site permission.  After adding the user and click OK, I get the error message in the event Viewer.

    I can veiw my EP home page in Google chrome, but get  "Invalid Viewstate" errors when trying to view in IE 8 or IE 9

    This is the event Viewer entry:

    Invalid viewstate.

    My problem was that there was an underscore "_" in the web server name, eg http://Server_name:portnumber.sites.dynamicsax  when I changed it to http://ServerName:portNumber/sites/dynamicsax all was OK

    Hi Tony,

    Thank you for replay.

    Indeed, we have named the server with underscores in its name, but it is somehow strange, that it worked for a couple of months without problems and then it crashed for IE Browsers.

    Anyway we have no other clue what could be wrong.
