CRM Inadvertently Switching Users

We are using CRM 2016 v8.1 on prem. I am a sys admin in our dev & test environments, I was working on importing Business Units from dev to test using the Configuration Migration tool. I had to modify the XML to eliminate certain records, leaving only 2 records with the name and parent business unit fields to import. After I imported the data, I realized that 1 of the records was not needed, I tried to delete the record from CRM but the delete button was not available to me. I had a co-work double check my security to ensure that I was in fact a sys admin in test, which I am. I cleared the cache (CTRL + F5) and when Chrome refreshed, CRM had me logged in as another user; a user who I have never worked with, a user who has never logged onto my computer nor logged into CRM from my computer. My co-worker reached out to the user to see if they were having issues within the time I experienced my issues and they stated that CRM has crashed a few times throughout the day; IE shut down.  I opened IE and CRM opened under my credentials, I cleared the cache in Chrome again and CRM was reset back to my creds. Obviously, there is concern with CRM inadvertently switching users. Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know the cause of this? We have looked through logs to see if there are any anomalies that would indicate something and have found no clues.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Chrys

This has happened to 3 other users. Has anyone experienced this? How could this happen?

I can't think of anything at the CRM side that could cause this. My guess would be you may have an issue with AD/Windows profiles; this is more likely if you use Citrix / Remote Desktop (do you ?), but it might be possible if something went seriously wrong with roaming profiles.

Do you use AD authentication, or ADFS ?

This has been resolved. It seemed to be configurations with the F5 Load Balancer. We contacted their help desk and they advised the changes. I do not know the specifics of what was changed.
