Dear All,

I have another question about security development tools,

my user has 2 roles, she manager for purchasing and planning department.

at roles ppic she view access only at po, at purchasing roles she full access at po.

how to set the primary/main roles at AX, i'm plan to set purchasing as primary, so she has full access at PO,

if roles ppic setted as primary/main roles, it will make her access class as view only right ?

it is doable to do setting like that.

thank you

    Hi benjamin84

no sequence, but the high-level access will override the low-level access.

if you assign multiple roles for one user with the same menu item, AX will  assign the highest level for this menu item

    HI Mahmoud,

yes, do in AX there are setting for assigned which roles that will be look up at first by system.

I want to make sure, if there are sequence order/number when we assigned roles to user,

    thank you

what do you mean by " I need to setting which roles is the primary"?

if you give user Two roles  (role1 view only and role 2 full access ), the user will be full access until you make override permission for role 2 to view only

RE: Setting Main/Primary Roles at Security Development Tools

    Hi Mahmoud,

    sorry to explain again.

I mean, I had created two roles, roles Purchasing manager has full access at PO

roles planning manager has view access at PO.

my user is assigned to two roles, purchasing manager and planning manager.

will it collide ? do I need to setting which roles is the primary, so my user still has full access at PO, not limited by roles planning manager.

    this is what I mean,

    it is clear ?

    thank you

    Hi Crispin,

sorry if I don't explain well.

    I mean,

    I create two roles :

for planning I will set view/read at Purchase Order.

for purchasing I will set create and delete at purchase order

these two roles will be assigned to one user.

so one user will have 2 roles. ( because she manage 2 departments )

how to make sure there are no conflict for this authorization,

I want my user able to read and delete at purchase order.

I want ax read roles purchasing as priority roles.

so my user will have full access at po, not limited by roles planning that only able to view only.

    thank you
