Hello everyone,

I am New to Dynamics Ax Retail Functional i have question 

What is the purpose of Free Text Invoice and how does its effect general ledger??

anyone please answer this question it vl be very helpful

    Hello Omkarthik,

    You can use free text invoices for many purposes, such as e.g.

    - selling fixed assets

    - invoicing projects

    - charging customers for recurring transactions

    - creating simplified invoices

    - etc.

    Posting a free text invoice in the AR subledger updates your ledger accounts in GL through the accounts that are setup in the posting profiles.
