I am running consistency checks on all of our items. I get the following batch error for every batch ever created in our system.
The only way I have found to get rid of this error is to go into batches and then go into Reset Vendor Batch Details. From there I am able to add in a Vendor Expiry Date. I am also able to go into the AOT table and add in there.
Is there any place to have this populated automatically when creating batch numbers? I have looked all over and have had no luck.

If you are manually creating batch numbers in the system, you would need to do the 'Reset vendor batch details' to access the screen and populate the vendor batch details.
If you are receiving the item in from a vendor, you can do this automatically by setting the 'Purchase registration' flag on the Item model group. This will require you to do a registration and enter this information during the receiving process, even on the Warehouse mobile device. This blog explains it nicely: timsaxblog.wordpress.com/.../. If you are not currently recording any Vendor batch details, I would not recommend you change your process to do so just because of this output from the Consistency checker. I think you would be much better off simply ignoring this message in the Consistency checker results. As you have seen from the day-to-day running of your organisation in Dynamics AX, having a "missing" vendor expiry date does not impact your processes at all!
