Error message when trying to close a period in Ledger calendar in D365FO

Hello community,

The error message below was displayed when I was trying to close period 1 in 2021 fiscal year :

Cannot close period Période 1 when there are source documents remaining to be journalized with an accounting date within the period. Please verify any open Purchase orders, invoices, expense reports or similar documents that exist in this period.

Could you give me suggestions how to process the open documents ???

Hi,

This seems there are unposted transactions, check all the journals, specifically check periodic task in general ledger- document pending accounting and subledger journal not yet transfered.

If data is there, fix and post, this will solve your issue.

If you're trying to close a period in dat legal entity - you can't. dat is a system entity that cannot be transacted in whatsoever. You need to select an actual operating legal entity.

The problem is due to open purchase orders received (not invoiced) for the previous year (N-1), there is a function in D3655 FO (that I forgot) to transfer or report these Purchase orders for the current year (N).
Can you help me to find it?

Dear please perform Consistancy checck in system admin module you will get any issue that is causing this

Were you able to resolve this error and closed the period permanently?
