Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Archived)

Your program license does not permit more users to work simultaneously....

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We are curently licensed (which has been verified by our vendor) for 3 concurrent users, this has been working for almost 12 months since we completed the upgrade from Dynamics NAV 2009.

Our version is 7.0.36605.0

At present, we can only have 2 users logged in at once.  When a third user tries to log in we receive the error:

"Your program license does not permit more users to work simultaneously.  Wait until another user has stopped user the program.  Contact your system administrator if you want to allow more simultaneous users on your system."

We have tried resetting services and also checking the Admin/IT Administration/General/Sessions, none of this has made a change.

Does anyone have any ideas, we have tried everything.  I currently have our server guys looking into any environmental changes that could have happened...

    Hi VarunB,

You should check your NAV License to know how many licensed sessions you have, and compare with working sessions. Hope below links are helpful for you:

Emptying the active session table did the job for me.

    Hi Stephen,

You can access Development Environment and run Session List page (9506) to check active sessions.

First of all check the active session with help of active session object in development environment. It will clear how many users are logged in.

    Hi

Run the Sessions Page, if any webservice is running then you can find an entry in the sessions Page with the client type "Web service"

    Hi

Whenever you receive this error ,

1.Check the Sessions & observe how many users have been logged, & delete the session which is ideal for long time

    2. Check whether web service is running
